The Little Lambs & Ducks are our 6 weeks to 24 month old classes

Our Little Lambs get their first introduction to school through the care of well trained, compassionate teachers who focus on providing for the specific needs of each of our little lambs according to their stage of development. The class has a Maximum Ratio of 4 children to a Teacher and they move on to the ducks class when they turn 12-16 months and are walking, using a sippy cup and eating table top foods (where licensed catered meals are served). In the ducks class the Maximum Ratio is 5 children to a Teacher. We believe that children are never too young to begin learning and provide them with a loving and nurturing enviroment. Activities include: the use music, dance, books, puppets, blocks, story time, and pretend play to enhance and develop social interactions, fine and gross motor skills, early language development, as well as pre-math, pre-science interest.
Each child recieves personal attention to ensure that postive attachment and adjustment to the educational enviroment is fostered with love, respect and caring for the overall development of each little lamb. We come along side parents to ensure our early learners enjoy school, their home away from home, while developmental milestones are reached in an atmosphere of kindness, fun and laughter.
Infant & Walkers Program Schedule
Our infant program is designed to fit the needs of each specific child in our care. The following is a general description of what you baby's day will entail:
Meals:
Children are fed on their own schedule. When feeding children a bottle we hold and nurture them, and use this opportunity for bonding. We work closely with parents when introducing new foods. As children grow we provide them the opporutnity to feed themselves starting with finger foods, and them adding utensils when they are ready. We encourage family style meals for older infants to improve their social skills.
Music & Movement:
Our days are filled with music and movement. We love to sing to the children. We use songs that use the children's individual names to help them with name recognition and build self-esteem. We also incorporate a variety of music including Christian songs, classical music, and multi-cultural music throughout the day, with lots of opportunities to dance and express themselves through creative movement.
Play Time:
Children learn best through play, so we provide them with a variety of age appropriate toys at their level and teacher initiated activities that are designed to capture their attention and provide them with opportunities to learn and explore. Creative Arts, Sensory Perception, Reading Books, Language acquisition, and dramatic play are all apart of our day. It is important for children to spend time on their floor where they can exercise their muscles and build their social skills.
Nap Time:
Nap times are based on the individual child's needs. All children will be given the opportunity to nap. While resting classical music and other soothing sounds will be played.
Outdoor Play:
Playing outside is important to growth and development. Weather permitting the young infants will go on walks and the older infants will have outside time in the play area at the center.
Tummy Time:
If your baby isn't mobile, there will be 30 minutes during the day where tummy time will be provided to strengthen back and neck muscles as well as support their development and mobility.
Daily Log:
Each evening parents will be provided with a daily log of their early learners progress that day as well has a report on their eating, playing and social activities.
