The Dolphins is our other 2.5-3 Years Old Preschool Program

Our Dolphins is a 2.5 to 3.5 year old program designed specifically for the children who are starting to prepare for transition to the Cubs class (3-4 Year Old Preschool Class) and are in need of an additional boost. This class also utilizes the ABEKA Christian curriculum which presents spiritual, educational and developmental activities designed to help your Preschool learner increase their cognition, comprehension and fine & gross motor skills. The Teachers also supplement with their own creative ideas. Our Dolphins class is designed for 10 children and 2 teachers. The class has a Maximum Ratio of 8 children to a Teacher and provides a wide variety of hands-on learning opportunities throughout the day including activities that encourage socialization skills, letter and number recognition, pre-reading, dance, music, recreational play and socialization skills designed to present your early learner with a variety of activities that will support their overall development.

All children must be at school by 9:30 a.m. when the morning educational activities begin.

Regular Daily Attendance is required
Regular Daily Attendance in our Preschool is a requirement as we are working with a rigorous  A Beka Christian Curriculum that requires the students to have an active learning module that will prepare them for Kindergarten entry beginning at 2 years of age. Children must arrive to school no later than 9:30 a.m. in order to ensure children are tracking along with their teachers and peers and are able to stay abreast of the learning requirements for the daily and weekly lesson plan.

Children who miss several days of the curriculum may not be able to keep up with the learning concepts that are introduced in the lesson plan daily, and thereby may loose their placement as Great Beginnings' operates under a group care model.

We are serious about meeting the spiritual, educational and developmental milestones our children need to be successful in their academic and family/community at large. Families are challenged to come along side the teachers to reinforce the information and educational learning goals from the lesson plan and are provided with the weekly lesson plan each Monday.

Potty Training
The Dolphins class is also the class were potty training is perfected as children can not graduate up to the next class until they are completely potty trained. The teachers in this class are highly skilled in this area amongst others and implement a variety of reward based methods to get your older 2 going and staying dry like a big kid.

Activities include:
painting, coloring, puzzles, blocks, indoor and outdoor recreational play, music and dance, story and circle time, singing, reading, motor activities, lesson review and group, individual & teacher directed activities. The curriculum for the Dolphins class builds on the skills learned in the previous class as well as incorporates new concepts in the ABEKA Christian curriculum for preschools and incorporates innovative concepts that are teacher directed and designed; It encourages the development of new skills, making friendships, stimulating learning and equipping them with language acquisition, color, shape, number and letter recognition and social skills.
